A two-day class with

This workshop is open to both retreat and non-retreat participants
Explorez les formes fascinantes du monde naturel en utilisant les techniques de sculpture et de textures de Donna. Durant ce stage, vous apprendrez à créer une variété de formes organiques qui semblent flotter avec fluidité sur la surface du papier. Vous réaliserez un objet de décoration murale qui répondra a votre sensibilité artistique, prêt à être monté ou encadré.
Donna vous montrera aussi comment elle utilise de la peinture pour réaliser des effets de couleur tout en douceur ou pour ajouter de la profondeur et unifier le fond. La polymère, le papier et la peinture s'harmonisent à merveille lorsqu'ils sont travaillés ensemble. Les stagiaires apprendront comment créer les supports nécessaires pour aboutir à des compositions équilibrées et durables. Peinture, pinceaux, papier d'artiste et adhésifs seront fournis moyennant un petit supplément de 7 EUR.
Les techniques de sculpture apprises au cours de cet atelier profiteront également aux créatrices de bijoux en leur apportant de nouvelles perspectives. Elles apprendront comment instiller une énergie organique dans leur travail, comme vous pouvez le voir dans certains des exemples ci-dessus. L'atelier s’achèvera par un échange sur l'équilibre, l’harmonie et les secrets de la composition. Cette discussion constitue un élément primordial de cet atelier.

Explore the exciting forms of the natural world using Donna’s sculptural and texturing techniques. Students will learn how to make a wide variety of free form organisms in shapes that flow and seem to float across the surface of the fine artist paper base. The finished art piece will be uniquely your own and ready to be mounted or framed for a wall hanging.
In the second part of the workshop, Donna demonstrates how to achieve soft, matte, color effects with paints to add depth and dimension to your clay as well as unifying it with the background. Polymer, paper and paint work beautifully when used together and students will learn the best ways of adhering the mixed mediums for a durable bond. Instructor will supply paints, brushes , artist paper and adhesives for use in this class for a small additional fee of 7 EUR.
Sculptural techniques learned in this workshop will also benefit those students who create jewelry and will help add fresh ideas and organic energy to their work such as the large Coral Corsage brooch. Open discussion on how to create balance and harmony for a strong design will be an important part of this workshop.
